The Power of Gratitude

Did you know that gratitude is good for your health? Research shows that those with grateful hearts experience a number of physical benefits, such as lower blood pressure, better sleep, less stress and a stronger immune system. There is also undeniable spiritual power in having an “attitude of gratitude”. A heart filled with thanksgiving has little room for other, less redeeming thoughts like jealousy, complaint, gossip, worry…you know – the thoughts that sap your spiritual strength and leave you feeling less connected with the God who is blessing you so abundantly. Here are some of the ways that an attitude of gratitude will bless your life spiritually:

Gratitude…
Causes you to worship, honor and reverence God.

Gratitude…
Sets your spirit in the right frame concerning thankfulness and appreciation for God’s grace, mercy and favor toward you.

Gratitude…
Helps us to understand that things could be different without God.

Gratitude…
Checks your spirit against pride, arrogance and conceit in light of God’s blessing toward you.

Gratitude…
Produces wholesomeness through the cleansing of the sacrifice of praise.

Gratitude…
Balances you so that you may celebrate others as they are blessed.

Gratitude…
Cleanses your spirit of doubt, worry, fear and negativity.

Gratitude…
Enhances your ability to see success before it is manifested.

Gratitude…
Produces a spiritual anointing, potency and resolve in your spirit to help you stand through tough times.
