What are you doing on Easter Sunday? We’re hosting two of the largest Easter services in the Washington, DC Metro area and we’d love to see you there!

This is such an exciting time – as we prepare to celebrate the death, burial and glorious resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! It only took Jesus three days to defeat the enemy and death – breaking the world free from the bondage of sin, shame, poverty, fear and eternal damnation!

Christ’s victory on the cross is our victory in life! We believe that God has called each of us to come together and continue the life-changing work that Jesus began on the cross over 2,000 years ago. During this special time of celebration, we are inviting you to join with us for our community-wide Easter at Hylton Chapel services on Sunday, April 16th, at 9:00 am and 11:30 am.

Special performances by Harvest Life Mass Choir, Children’s Community Choir, Performing Arts, Praise Dancers and a powerful message by Bishop Lyle Dukes will make this a great Easter Sunday! If you would like your child, age 3 – 5th grade to be a part of the Children’s Community Choir, bring them to Choir Rehearsal on Saturday, April 15th at 10:00 am!

All first-time guests receive a free gift for spending Easter with us!

As we share God’s resurrection power, we ask that our members, ministry partners and friends join in this great Kingdom work by sowing a special $77 Compassion Seed Offering.

Along with your “Compassion Seed” Offering, we are also requesting that you submit your prayer requests by mail or online. Prayer cards will be available for you to submit prayer requests in the Prayer Box outside of Room 200. We will lift these prayer requests up in prayer during our Holy Week.

In addition to hosting two powerful services, we’re hosting a food drive to collect non-perishable food items. In the past, several local shelters have had to close their doors due to lack of donations, and we rallied the community to help stock these organizations’ shelves. We have partnered with the A.C.T.S. (Action in Community Through Service) organization for the past several years to ensure their shelves are stocked to supply food to needy families. A.C.T.S. is a community organization whose mission is to alleviate hunger, homelessness, and domestic violence, and help people achieve self-support in the Prince William Area. We are also providing food to local women’s shelters, homeless shelters, and other organizations. If you are outside of the Washington, DC Metropolitan area and would like to donate toward the purchase of food items, you may do so here.

Join us on Sunday, April 16th at 9:00 am and 11:30 am for our Easter Services – bring your children, invite your neighbors, co-workers…all are welcome to this celebration! We believe that our Easter services and our food drive will make an impact on the community that will be felt for years to come!

During Holy Week (Sunday, April 9th – Sunday, April 16th) we’re hosting several dynamic events: Early Morning Prayer in the sanctuary, a Church Fast, Holy Communion Service and Good Friday Baptism Service are just a few of the ways that you can strengthen your relationship with God during this special time!
